Many congratulations to all the winners of the VegfestUK Awards 2016!

The awards were presented by show manager Tim Barford and presenter Karin Ridgers of VeggieVision alongside special guest Peter Egan, in the Auditorium at Olympia London Conference Centre on Saturday October 22nd 2016.

The awards celebrate the best of vegan lifestyles with altogether 16 categories and 10 nominees in each category.

 

“It’s marvellous to witness the growth of veganism as reflected in the variety and quality of vegan products in our nominees,” says VegfestUK organisers. “Thanks to these amazing producers of vegan products, it becomes easier and easier for people all over the UK and beyond to access these products and make vegan choices part of their daily routines. And also thanks to all the wonderful vegan campaigners, bloggers and vloggers for spreading the vegan message through creative vegan education. Thanks to all these heroes plus many others, veganism is growing at a rate like never before in the UK and long may it continue.”

 

The awards ceremony also includes a brand-new UK Vegan Sandwich Award – for the best vegan sandwich idea for mainstream outlets – as well as a Special Lifetime Achievement Award for Andrew Tyler, director of animal rights group Animal Aid, who will celebrate their 40th anniversary of excellent outreach work for veganism and the animals in 2017.
