Around 7,400 visitors sampled vegan delights at VegfestUK Brighton 2018

Big thanks to everyone who attended this year’s VegfestUK Brighton event which has proved to be another blockbuster show with around 7,400 visitors across the whole weekend March 24-25.

This year’s event attracted a record number of 230 stallholders showcasing a wide range of quality vegan products, with many offering unique special offers only at the show.

There were around 100 guests, including speakers, musicians, presenters and comedians, as they provide rounded vegan information and entertainment to a vegan-hungry audience.

In addition to the usual mix of stalls, caterers, informative talks and cookery demos, and lively entertainment from comedy and music, this year’s event takes its unique range of activities to another level with

  • 4 panel discussions involving some really interesting guest speakers
  • The FxEctive Factor vegan talent competition on Saturday with 8 contestants and 4 celebrity judges (summary here)
  • Single & Mingle session
  • Veganuary party on Sunday with selected Veganuary 2018 participants mingling with each other and celebrating the success of Veganuary 2018

Breakdown of attendance figures are as follows:

Saturday – 4,000 visitors plus 800 workers approximately
Sunday – 3,400 visitors plus 800 workers approximately

The organisers added, “It’s our pleasure to welcome everybody to the delights of a vegan lifestyle under the VegfestUK roof. It’s a joy to see our stallholders, speakers, musicians, comedians and presenters bringing so much colour and diversity to a packed programme of food, shopping, talks, cookery demos, comedy, live music and kids activities – massive thanks to you all from the bottom of our hearts in helping create a superb VegfestUK Brighton 2018. VegfestUK will be returning to the Brighton Centre on March 23-24 2019 with website live for stall bookings in the Summer of 2018. (event subject to contract)

Meanwhile, VegfestUK moves onto its Bristol edition next on May 26-27 at Ashton Gate stadium, followed by its London event on October 27-28 at Olympia London.
