Awesome lineup of musicians across multiple areas at VegfestUK Bristol 2018

Visitors to VegfestUK Bristol this year will be treated to a feast of music from a number of featured areas at Ashton Gate stadium on May Bank Holiday Weekend May 26-27, with a multitude of genres and headliners across 2 outdoor stages and 3 indoor entertainment lounges for everybody to savour.

This blog post briefly summarises the headliners and musicians confirmed for the event.

Ujima Live Acts Stage

Located at the Ashton Road end of the outdoor “fan village” on Marina Dolman Way

Saturday night sees Dr. Meaker and Smith & Mighty rock up the outdoor Marina Dolman Way part of the venue, whereas the Sunday night part of the event welcomes the almighty Don Letts (DJ set) and local house DJ and boyhood Bristol City supporter Mikee Freedom with a Groovy Street DJ set in store alongside DJ Rudy.

Joining these musical giants are Ciaran Austin and Queen V (winner of The FxEctive Factor vegan talent contest at VegfestUK Brighton 2018), on top of a number of talented local acts chosen by voters at a recent poll run by Ujima Radio 98fm – acts include Ellis Aaron, Komposa & Llorrac, Laimu, Makala Cheung, Lauren Martin, Hotsteppas, Splitz P, Urbandsoul, Nia Melody and Bastion.

Dance Stage

Located by the front entrance in the Winterstoke Car Park

Legendary house DJ Judge Jules heads up the Saturday night with dance sensation Baby D wrapping up the Sunday evening in style.

Lineup also includes a trio of DJ’s from SoulTrain Radio, namely Paul Alexander and Paul Conroy.

Other musicians include Mark Devlin, Chris Tofu, One Man and His Beard, Juha, The Supanauts and The Elton John Experience.

Dance Stage hosted by DJ Chris Cross (Club Yeyo) and Karin Ridgers (Phoenix 98FM).

Blues Lounge

Located in one of the Lansdown Suites on Level 2

An eclectic and diverse range of blues tunes will be blaring out of the Blues Lounge – musicians include King Cassady, Sam Whitlock, The Schmoozenbergs, Aanchal Gupta & the BollyRed Dance Company and Barney Newman on Saturday evening, followed by Brejeiro, Andy Prince and Dr Zebo’s on Sunday evening.

Electro Swing (Saturday night only)

Located in one of the Lansdown Suites on Level 2

The Electro Swing lounge on Saturday is set to get those dance feet tapping with Swing Patrol, Ecklectic Mick and The After Hours creating an electric atmosphere for party goers.

Deep Chill (Sunday night only)

Located in one of the Lansdown Suites on Level 2

DJ Mavin and Chris Cross (Club Yeyo) will have in store a series of specially prepared magical tunes for the final hours of this year’s Vegfest.
