As more and more people are increasingly conscious about health, what we put into our bodies and how it impacts on our overall wellbeing gathers more attention and spotlight. This is especially true for those aspiring to go on a plant-based diet, as they attempt to counter misinformation and propaganda by the meat and dairy industries as well as the mainstream about the “dangers” of excluding animal products from their diet, and follow the right nutritional guidelines to ensure that they get all the essential nutrients to thrive on a health level. Given all this confusion, what advice should one follow then if they want to eat plant-based and be healthy?
The upcoming vegan festival VegfestUK London, which takes place on October 27-28 at Olympia London, aims to shed light on the area of plant-based nutrition, with a wide selection of topics to be discussed by a number of health experts to help visitors navigate through the muddy waters of health and nutrition on a plant-based compass, whatever their current dietary choices are.
