How best to achieve optimal fitness without animal products? How can those setting their sights on improving their fitness ensure that they are getting all the essential nutrients from plant-based sources for their pursuits?
A number of sportspeople and fitness personalities within the plant-based community will be sharing their insights and experiences into plant-powered fitness at the UK’s flagship vegan festival VegfestUK London on October 26-27 at Olympia London, with a selection of talks and panels discussing a variety of topics aimed at everybody. Whether you are a complete beginner to the plant-based diet, a seasoned bodybuilder or marathon runner who wish to move away from animal-based foods, or a fitness fanatic who aims to get their fitness up to the next level, there is something for you to take home.
There will be altogether 2 fitness sections at the event, one looking primarily at building strength, and the other focusing on attaining endurance. The full lineup of speakers will be announced in September.
The Strength section of the extended Fitness area showcases a number of plant-fuelled bodybuilders who have excelled on an exclusively plant-based diet. They will be hosting a number of talks, Q&A’s and panels discussing topics such as the best foods for bodybuilding, best routines for recovery and muscle building amongst many others.
VegfestUK ever-presents Vegan Bodybuilding will have a stall near the Strength area, with information on training whilst being on a plant-based diet or in transition to such diet. They will also be hosting bodybuilding competitions, which both beginners and advanced bodybuilders are welcome to enter.
The Strength section is sponsored by Vivo Life, who produces 100% plant-based health and fitness products, to help you look and feel awesome without costing the earth. Their repertoire of products includes their best selling PERFORM protein powder and SUSTAIN Plant Based BCAA protein powder. You can find them at the event at stalls CN3 and CN4 on Level 1 of Olympia Central. Visit their website at www.vivolife.co.uk to discover the full range of plant based products.
In contrast, the Endurance section looks more closely at exercises and suggested foods and routines to increase your endurance levels during workouts and when doing sports.
