In this guest blog, the team from Dolma Vegan Fragrances talk about their vegan-friendly fragrances, how it all started and some of their favourites in their product range. Dolma will be at the upcoming VegfestUK London on October 26-27 at Olympia London – tickets available here.
Dolma Vegan Fragrances is a British owned company started in 1982 by a gentle, compassionate man, Jim Payne. He was a chemist by trade and a committed Buddhist. His strong ethics, values and compassion to all spurred him to get into his lab and create fragrances that are in no way harmful to animals or nature. He initially started creating fragrances for his vegan friends and family. It became so successful that him and his daughter decided to create the brand Dolma.
Dolma was named after a Goddess, Jetsun Dolma, a Goddess of compassion. A beautiful reflection of one of Dolma’s core values. We have created a range born from this value and are committed to quality fragrances at no others expense. In our range we offer women’s perfumes and men’s aftershaves. From sweet floral scents to powerful woody accents. Everyone will find something they like.
Our favourite women’s fragrance is Vegamusk, a beautiful musk fragrance that is 100% vegan and cruelty free. Conveying a white hue this fragrance opens on soft notes of jasmine and lily enriched with creamy nuances of West Indian Sandalwood on a bed of honey and musk cocktail. A firm favourite over the years.
Of our men’s aftershaves, Sirius has stood the test of time. Deeply masculine, this fragrance opens on aromatic accents of French artemisia oil engineered around bergamot and laurel tonalities with a generous heart of geranium leaves spiced up by carnation and cinnamon on a solid wood base of Siberian pine needle oil, patchouli and amber.
