Trade and Media day combines with free weekend virtual public event to brighten up the Summer
With nearly all events cancelled for the summer, VegfesUK, organisers of some of the biggest vegan events in the UK, have announced plans for a 3 day online virtual Summerfest August 14th 15th 16th, with attendance free to the public, along with a dedicated Trade and Media day on the Friday for professionals and delegates. An anticipated 100 + exhibitors will be joined by a programme of speakers and entertainers for a series of talks, live streams, live comedy and music, including health, fitness, cookery demos, animal rights and activism and much more, as an extended vegan community from not only the UK but across the globe gathers in a virtual realm for the first time on a scale of this size.
“Moving online is a real thrill for us right now ‘said the organisers, ‘as it gives us a chance to reach out to a whole new audience that spans the globe, and with free attendance we are expecting tens of thousands of visitors to join us over the weekend for what promises to be a massive celebration of all things vegan. The event allows for visitors to browse and also purchase on the day directly from stallholders, many of whom will be running special offers for the weekend, and the wealth of information that can be made available for a whole range of people via the auditoriums and talks areas – be they seasoned vegans or people just getting started on their plant based journey – makes for an exciting mix. And the added addition of being able to invite guests from across the globe to participate in live streams and debates, which also allow for visitor participation, questions and answers, just adds to the potential of the Summerfest Online.”
“The addition of the Trade and Media day brings added value and interest to the event, especially for the Independent Health Stores and the Multiples from across the UK, as well as delegates from across the hospitality and retail sectors, who will have the opportunity to access the latest new products on the plant based market, as well as engage directly with exhibitors for Trade information, without having to travel. The cancellation of the major trade events this year has left a gap to be filled – and the VegfestUK Trade and Media day can go some way to help filling that, especially for the smaller independents seeking cost effective options to enable them to reach both new markets. Visiting is free, and Exhibiting is not expensive but highly effective with a widespread visibility and focused attendees. And of course bloggers, journalists and media delegates can also access quickly easily, freely and from the convenience and comfort of their own home a number of new products and exciting developments in the rapidly developing vegan world”
“We are also thrilled to be able to produce a quality line-up of music and entertainment, including comedy, and in the process provide a much needed gig for the summer for a number of vegan comedians and musicians, and in addition, the show stays ‘open’ for a month after the weekend to allow visitors to revisit some of the talks and also the exhibitors stalls and details (although the ‘live’ facilities won’t be open after the weekend).”
VegfestUK Summerfest Online goes live for bookings in early May, and registration for the public, as well as Trade and Media delegates, commences in early June. Registration is free of charge, and visitors will be welcome to make a small donation before, during or after the event to assist with the costs of the production, via our ‘Friends of VegfestUK’ initiative. The website hosts the information in the build up to the event as well as registration details and exhibitor information. Please contact [email protected] for further details.
