VegfestUK Chat: Live chat show with Tim and Karin 5pm – 6pm Friday May 15th

Join Tim Barford and Karin Ridgers for their new 1 hour show full of the latest news and views, gossip and of course wonderful guests from within the vegan world in a Live Chat show Friday May 15th at 5pm available to view on Facebook. Tim and Karin will be joined by an array of guests including Victoria Pearce of K-9 Angels fame, and Tony Bishop – Weston, author of numerous vegan cookbooks, chef and part time pirate. Plus loads of fun including competitions to win some fabulous vegan goodies courtesy of wonderful hemp company

Karin Ridgers has been vegan over 25 years now, and runs her own vegan PR Company Mad Promotions, as well as vegan internet TV station VeggieVision and Online vegan dating service Until recently Karin has also presented a weekly radio show with audiences of up to half a million across all formats. Karin is fun,. lively, bubbly and from Essex, and has an incredible passion for all things vegan.

Tim Barford manages VegfestUK, the UK’s biggest vegan events, and has been vegan since 1984. He has been running vegan events since 2003, including the famous Bristol Vegan Fayre. A long term vegan activist, he is also the founder of Yaoh, the UK’s original hemp company. Tim lives in Bristol and likes dance music and football.

Victoria Pearce
, our main guest on May 15th, is co founder of the esteemed charity K-9 Angels, a Dog Rescue Charity with an international reputation and a glittering array of supporters. Victoria works tirelessly fundraising for the charity including sponsored 400Km Bike Rides around Cornwall, a quick stroll up Mount Kilimanjaro and a Wing Walking experience all in the name of the dogs she rescues. Victoria is a regular in the media and has recently opened up about metal health issues, helping break down some of the taboos and stigma on this area.

Tony Bishop-Weston
is the author of numerous vegan cookbooks including his latest publication ”Vegan Cookbook: A Comprehensive Practical Reference to Vegan Food”. Tony ran the Taigh Na Mara Vegan Guesthouse on the shores of Loch Broom before returning to London to work for The Vegan Society and Vegetarian Society, and his wife & co – author Yvonne ran the pioneering vegetarian catering company Cranks Restaurants before setting up their own nutrition consultancy, Foods for Life
