Vegan Trade & Media Day Online Friday August 14th 2020 for professional delegates

With indoor events cancelled for much of 2020, and even into 2021, the UK’s leading vegan events company VegfestUK has come up with a cost effective practical solution for vegan traders, and the Natural Products Retail Trade, Caterers and Hospitality looking for the latest vegan products in a rapidly developing  and constantly evolving plant based market – the Trade and Media Day at VegfestUK Summerfest Online will be hosted online on Friday August 14th with the event free to attend for delegates.

A number of leading brands are already exhibiting, including Bute Island Foods, makers of the famed Scheese range of vegan cheeses, and Nairn’s Oatcakes, purveyors of the finest Scottish oatcakes since 1896, plus some new vegan brands like Better Nature, providing an outstanding range of Tempeh, and Vegums, with a new omega 3 multi-vitamin recently launched. Several clothes and accessories ranges are present in the form of Watson & Wolfe, Tweedy Clothing and Humane Human, plus some leading independent vegan food brands including Pasta Italia, Olivado & Vegan Sweet Tooth London, and body care ranges including Yaoh Hemp Products, Mahi Naturals, Crazy Rumours lip balms and several more, with many more to be confirmed by early August 2020.

The opportunity to develop the Trade and Media Day is a challenge for the organiser Tim Barford, who has been organising the UK’s biggest vegan events for some two decades, including the ground-breaking first vegan Trade show at Olympia in 2017. “As an events company, the advent of Covid -19 has hit VegfestUK hard” says Tim “and with the cancellation of our event at Olympia, given us a considerable challenge to overcome. There are some drawbacks to the Online option of course, but the benefits are really beginning to come into their own, not least the opportunity for the Trade and Media day. It’s not just exhibitors that find ‘live’ Trade shows expensive – but also delegates too. The costs for an Independent Health Store to send a delegate to a live Trade show make it prohibitive for many – the Online option is a lot more inclusive and a lot easier logistically for Trade delegates to do their business without the additional costs, time and labour to visit these events in person. We see a real future in the development of the online Trade and Media show, and have a further two booked for November 13th 2020 and again March 19th 2021.”

The Trade and Media Day is part of the overall weekend event VegfestUK Summerfest Online, which is open to the public on the weekend and set to attract around 10,000 visitors to the event which is free to attend. VegfestUK London Online follows November 13th  14th 15th 2020, before Plant Powered Expo Online takes place March 19th 20th 21st 2021. The events are all free to attend for the public, and feature a wide variety of exhibitors along with Live Streams panels debates presentations and Live Chat facilities, plus a range of entertainment and information.
