VegfestUK hosts the launch of Jordi Casamitjana’s new book Ethical Vegan: A Personal and Political Journey to Change the World.

30th November 2020

VegfestUK are thrilled to announce that this Thursday 3rd December at 2pm we will be hosting a live event via StreamYard to celebrate the publication of Jordi Casamitjana’s new book Ethical Vegan: A Personal and Political Journey to Change the World.

Jordi has dedicated his lifetime to protecting animals. Most notably, it was Jordi’s employment tribunal which changed the law forever and meant ethical veganism became a legally protected philosophical belief. Written with urgency, humour and a passionate narrative, Ethical Vegan also tells the story of Jordi’s personal and political journey with veganism.

Joining Jordi in this marvellous live event will be Juliet Gellatley (founder and director of VIVA!), Jay Brave (trustee of The Vegan Society and youth ambassador of Made In Hackney) and actor Peter Egan (actor, vegan and animal champion). Over this 45 minute event these guests will be discussing the book as well as the past, present and future state of ethical veganism.

Host Tim Barford from VegfestUK added “It is indeed a thrill, an honour and a privilege to host the launch of such a ground breaking book. Ethical Vegan has been a long time in the making, and like the best ideas, not without its teething problems. Ethical Veganism is here to stay and Jordi’s book details the growth of the vegan way of life interwoven with his own personal story and the detail of the case he won, on behalf of ethical vegans across the globe. We are very proud to host the launch of Jordi’s book, and to ice the proverbial (vegan) cake, welcome such prestigious guests as Juliet, Peter and Jay to mark the occasion.”

Out on the 3rd of December, Ethical Vegan is available to pre-order from all good bookstores now!
