Vegan Fitness and Lifestyle at VegfestUK Brighton 2023 hosted by Kate Strong

24th January 2023

With hundreds of thousands of people going plant based every year in the UK, optimum fitness and lifestyle choices are often key to people staying plant based and getting the best out of their new way of life. And for people vegan for a while, it’s always a learning curve as to how to optimise health and wellbeing at different stages of life, and the Vegan Health and Lifestyle area at VegfestUK Brighton 2023, hosted by world record holder Kate Strong, has plenty of inspiration, education and information for visitors to optimise their fitness and wellbeing whilst living a plant based lifestyle to the max.

Hosted over 2 days April 29th & 30th 2023 at The Brighton Centre, the event is free to the public and an anticipated 8,000 visitors are expected to descend on the event which sees up to 200 stalls and 6 talks rooms featuring vegan businesses, charities, campaigns and individuals covering a wide spectrum across the vegan and plant-based sector. From its first event way back in 2009, VegfestUK Brighton has always been the most fun and in many ways the most engaging of events, in part due to the high percentage of vegans and plant-based curious people in the Brighton area, many of whom flock to the show. And the Fitness and Lifestyle area is expected to be very busy as people seek to improve their health and wellbeing post-COVID.

“The best way to demonstrate the power of a vegan lifestyle is to show the results and this year’s Fitness & Lifestyle Summit is set to do just that” says host Kate Strong, “and along with the many motivational talks and Q&A panels with world record holders and elite athletes, we’re also introducing a ‘get active’ zone with practical activities you can get involved with.Expand your knowledge in the best nutrition, learn new strength and core exercises as well as get motivated to be more active, VegFest Fitness & Lifestyle is set to inspire you towards a healthier lifestyle.”

Alongside the talks, demos, panels and ‘get active’ zone is a range of fitness related stalls including Vegan Muscle and their gym apparel and some equipment and competitions running on their stall throughout the weekend, and a number of new vegan protein bars and products on the market, including the new Vivo Life Protein snack bars. There’s also a dynamic range of vegan supplements at the show courtesy of firms like Veganicity and Terranova, along with superfoods and tonics.  “Eating plant based is the norm for many top-level athletes these days” adds the organisers of the event, “and that’s borne out for example by champions such as Serena Willaims and Novak Djokovic, both of whom cite a plant-based diet as a number one asset in performance and recovery. You don’t have to aspire to be a champion, but we should all be developing healthy disciplines and life enhancing habits as we journey through the plant-based lifestyle, and the Vegan Fitness and Lifestyle Area at VegfestUK Brighton this spring is full of inspiration & guidance to do just that.”

VegfestUK Brighton takes place at The Brighton Centre weekend April 29th 30th. Full line-ups for the area are announced in the spring – and free tickets are available on application from mid-February on the website:
