UK’s Biggest Indoor Vegan Exhibition this Spring is FREE

14th February 2023

VegfestUK Brighton 2023 returns to the Brighton Centre this Spring in triumph as the organisers celebrate 20 years for vegan events – and admission is free of charge for the thousands of visitors expected over the weekend April 29th & 30th in the UK’s leading vegan city Brighton. Tickets are available from Valentine’s Day to visit the event and organisers are encouraging visitors and locals alike to make full use of the free ticket option and come along and enjoy the very best of the vegan way of life as well as multiple plant-based lifestyle options.

“The star of the show in generally the food” enthuse the organisers – and well they might, given the plethora of fabulous plant-based options on offer to titillate the taste buds, including vegan ice cream, waffles, whipped cream, pancakes, doughnuts and an abundance of cake and chocolate as well as a wide range of fantastic hot food street caterers covering all sorts of international cuisine – all of it plant based. But not just the food – a massive array of clothing and skincare as well as accessories and other lifestyle options make up the 200 + stallholders exhibiting at the event.

Nearly all the traders are independent vegan owned businesses and of course a multitude of charities and campaigns – including the Plant Based Treaty, fresh from seeing Edinburgh Council the latest to endorse the treaty, and national campaign groups including Viva!, Animal Aid and many others gathered under the ‘Action for Animals’ summit taking place the same weekend at the event. “With over 70 talks, panels and presentations over the weekend, spanning areas including optimum plant based health, fitness and lifestyle as well as sustainable futures, wellbeing and activism, there’s something for everyone” explain the organisers “and if you are new to the whole concept – the Introduction to Plant Based Lifestyles area covers 2 days and is the ideal starting place to discover the joys & benefits – and ease – of modern day plant based living.”

VegfestUK Brighton is a family event and includes a Kids area and a whole range of entertainment, comedy and music to ensure a festival vibe and fun weekend in between all the food, shopping and summits… and The Brighton Centre, with its seaside location and huge rooms and multiple floors, makes the idea venue for an event of this nature. Add in the multiple proximity of multiple vegan outlets across the city, a welcoming and hospitable venue and local community and the addition of 200 traders and around 8,000 visitors and you have a most excellent weekend – all for free!

‘Tickets are free’ confirm the organisers ‘although it is true we also have paid ticket options and a donations box for those who wish to contribute financially to the costs of the event. But in essence it’s a free event and we encourage people on low incomes especially, and those new to plant based lifestyle options to come along and enjoy the day out and use the free admittance option. We know it’s been very tough on multiple levels for many of us, and there’s nothing like a free community event to help that feelgood factor and revitalised energy return and that’s in part the aim. So come along and support our vegan community, traders, charities, sanctuaries and individuals and if we can, we’ll keep this one free to the public moving forward. We love Brighton and this venue and we aim to be back year after year.”
