Celebration Stage Movement Landmarks at Vegan Party Conference

3rd September 2024

Leading vegan & animal rights groups celebrate in style at UK’s first Vegan Party Conference

Some of the UK’s best loved and supported Animal Rights and Vegan groups will be out in force in September at the inaugural Vegan Party Conference as The Vegan Society celebrates 80 years, Viva! reaches their 30 year landmark, Animal Justice Project celebrate 10 years and the worlds best known vegan campaign Veganuary reaches its 10-year milestone in 2024.

All 4 groups will be on stage at the Conference for interviews with TV host Wendy Turner Webster and author Rebel Vegan Todd taking care of hosting duties, with appearances from Matthew & Jane (Veganuary founders), Juliet Gellatley (Founder of Viva!), Ayrton from the Animal Justice Project and actor Paul Higgins (Game of Thrones, Line of Duty), who is also a Vegan Society Ambassador.

The Celebration Stage in addition sees a fascinating panel called ‘Vegan in The Media’ featuring Wendy Turner Webster + TV presenter Suzanne Kirlew, and Transformational Health Coach and Award-Winning Speaker Vanessa Sturman, with further panels featuring Creative Activism with Rebel Todd, a look at Vegan Fashion with Bel Jacobs, and a focus on Animal Companions with Wendy, Dr Andrew Knight and Victoria from K9 Angels. Panelists from various vegan environmental groups including Animal Rising, Garden Guardians, Word Forest and Vegan Organic Network also join the stage to discuss rewilding and restoring nature.

And to cap off the stage each day there’s a comedy hour featuring Andrew O’Neill & Cheekykita on Saturday and Carl Donnelly with Dave Chawner on Sunday, and there’s a spotlight on a number of campaign groups on the Celebration Stage too, including We The Free, Animal Think Tank, Camp Beagle, and Freedom for Animals, an ideal opportunity for attendees to find out more about the great work of some of our best campaign groups.

‘Our movement is coming together to showcase and celebrate, update, educate and inform and above all inspire more people to get active and get engaged with more campaigns and activism than even before, and everyone is welcome to attend and get involved a bit more. The Celebration Stage especially showcases some remarkable achievements, and it is an honour to be hosting so many fabulous individuals and groups and so many important milestones.’

‘The rest of the Conference sees a collection of 15 panels in the Main Hall and 25 Workshops on the Lower Ground floor spread over 2 days, covering a very broad base of the modern-day vegan, animal rights and plant-based movement. Come and celebrate and enjoy some of the very best this movement has to offer – complete with some terrific vegan street food caterers.’

‘The Vegan Party Conference is most certainly a conference, but with a bit of a party going on too, vegan style, and for people thinking about the environment, their health, food justice, animal welfare, veganism & plant-based lifestyles, there’s a lot going on that’s of interest, and you’ll be very welcome. Exciting times lie ahead for the movement and the Conference will be brining alive a lot of issues and focuses that are achievable and reachable in the foreseeable future.’

Tickets are £10 + fee (Day) & £18 + fee (Weekend), available from the website.

The Conference is organised by VegfestUK Ltd, and sponsored by The Plant Based Treaty, The Vegan Society, Yaoh Hemp Products and Mad Promotions.
