Animal Aid Sponsor the London Vegan Fayre

Animal Aid, one of the UK’s longest running and much loved animal rights organisations, have stepped up to sponsor the annual London Vegan Fayre held at Kensington Town Halls in London on Saturday December 6th 25 from 10am – 6pm. Founded in 1977, Animal Aid are providing essential support for this much – loved event and venue which has hosted vegan events for a number of decades – including Animal Aid’s own Christmas Without Cruelty event which ran from the 1980’s right through ’till 2019.

Celebrating close on 50 years of campaigning, Animal Aid are at the forefront of a number of long running actions including banning greyhound racing, ending the use of animals for testing procedures, banning snares, bringing horse racing to an end, and helping people learn more about going vegan & the benefits of plant based lifestyles. Animal Aid also focus on a lot of work in schools and have a vibrant volunteer school speaking programme which sees hundreds of talks delivered each year across the UK, and are holding a special reception at the show for their volunteer school speakers.

‘Animal Aid will be out in force at the London Vegan Fayre – they are the main show sponsors, hosting a reception for school speakers, and present with 2 stalls – one focusing on their animal rights campaigns complete with merchandise and petitions to sign, and the other hosed by their education team, where prospective volunteers can meet the team and find out more about getting involved with the school speaker initiative. And at 1pm on the Stage, AA director Iain Green will be hosting a fireside chat where visitors can get up to date with current developments in a number of high profile campaigns, including the Government’s recently outlined schedule to replace animal testing and eventually phase it out. With progress on banning snares, campaigning against greyhound racing, opposing the shooting industry and highlighting the use and abuse that occurs on UK racecourses, Animal Aid’s campaigns are on point and very relevant to current legislation and proposed changes to the way we currently exploit animals by the billion.’
