Bristol Vegan Fayre Returns for Summer Solstice Festival June 20th 2026

Bristol Vegan Fayre returns to Document in Bristol on June 20th this year, meaning a summer solstice vegan festival right in the heart of Bristol for the first time, drawing crowds from across the south west for an event which sees up to 100 independent traders alongside 2 talks rooms, DJ booth and outdoor stage featuring live music and comedy at this much-loved event.

With a long tradition for hosting vegan festivals in Bristol with an emphasis on live music and entertainment going back some 23 years ago, Bristol Vegan Fayre has been held at Document since 2023 and it’s fitting that this one will be on the solstice weekend. ‘My first festival in 1981 aged 18 was at Stonehenge on the solstice’ says organiser Tim Barford, ‘and I fell in love with festivals then. Bristol Vegan Fayre effectively traces its roots back to Stonehenge Free Festival and it’s a pleasure to be hosting Bristol Vegan Fayre on the summer solstice this year. And with no Glastonbury in 2026, there’s an emphasis on entertainment, music and comedy at our event which is set to attract up to 2,000 people this year.’

‘Some of the finest artisan plant-based food producers will be in attendance as well a host of charities and campaigns, mainly focusing on environment and animal rights & welfare, plus a collection of vegan bodycare, clothing and accessories as well as a host of information about the benefits of plant-based lifestyles – it’s a great place to visit if you are new to vegan options. And for 2026 we are welcoming a number of renowned vegan authors including John King, author of The Football Factory and more recently a book about animal laboratories, Peekaboo Bosh. And there’s some big plans for comedy too for 2026 – more to be revealed later.’

‘Support for the Independents is still really important in 2026 with a lot of small businesses, sole traders, animal sanctuaries, small charities and community interest companies still faced with survival challenges, although for some that is beginning to ease a little. There’s a real confidence factor again amongst many vegan traders who have learnt to adapt to the challenges and continue to flourish and produce the most excellent array of products and services.’

‘Bristol Vegan Fayre is proud to play host to a significant sector of this collective, and honours the resilience and hard work shown by so many – and it’s an excellent opportunity for both the broader vegan community as well as people curious about the plant based lifestyle to come along and experience the very best of the UK vegan collective – an evolved community filled with wonderful people committed to an ethical way of life, vibrant, energised and uplifted and very much ready to welcome a big crowd to come and join in the fun this summer solstice.’

Bristol Vegan Fayre is sponsored by Just be Kind Dog Food – founder Dr Arielle Griffiths will be at the show with a stall and a talk about plant based nutrition for companion animals

Bristol Vegan Fayre is open from 10am – 6pm at Document 30 Pennywell Rd, St Jude’s, Bristol BS5 0TH
