Vegfest Free Birmingham Saturday May 1st 2027 Edgbaston

One of the UK’s biggest vegan events returns to Birmingham next spring with Vegfest Free hosted at Edgbaston once more on Saturday May 1st 2027 – with admission free to the public, and up to 30 free stalls for a number of vegan charities, animal sanctuaries, campaign groups & CIC’s, the event will see in excess of 140 independent traders alongside 40 speakers and performers spread across 2 talks rooms and an outside stage, alongside a dance stage, outside market and vegan food village.

Building on the success of the inaugural event staged in April 26 which saw up to 2,000 people in attendance, Vegfest Free expects to attract in excess of 2,500 people in 2027, making it the biggest indoor vegan event of the year, and in the wake of some of the most excellent feedback from the 2026 event. ‘Over 90% of visitors rated the show 8 out of 10 or more, and 38% of visitors gave the show 10 out of 10 in 2026 – that’s really unique and something quite special. The advent of free entry and free stalls for a revered core part of the UK vegan collective along with copious free gifts on entry set the mark for a most enjoyable day with an amazing feelgood factor for traders and visitors alike.’

Vegfest Free expects to attract a significant amount of people new to plant-based lifestyles as well as a core vegan collective, with a welcoming, easy-going entry into the world of veganism, and as a result a lot of people visiting the event make significant changes to their lifestyles. ‘Nearly everyone who visits who is not yet vegan leaves with a very positive impression of veganism and vegans, and many pledge to make impactful and long-lasting changes to their lifestyles, including either going vegan or increasing plant-based consumption considerably.’

‘Vegfest sees a really good ‘conversion rate’ for people who visit who are not yet vegan, and that’s mainly due to the whole collective and gathering of people, products and projects. Vegfest events are brilliant entry points for people new to plant-based lifestyles, presenting the very best of the vegan way of life completely free to the public and actively encouraging people new to veganism to attend.’

Tickets are free but required in advance for entry, and the event is open from 10am – to 6pm. Donations for the event are most welcome & all ticket holders are encouraged to make a donation to help keep the event sustainable.
