VegfestUK – Celebrating our 20th Anniversary in 2023

VegfestUK came into existence back in Bristol in 2003, with the launch of the Bristol Vegan Fayre – the first event of its kind to mix up veganism with rock-‘n-roll and a festival vibe. The success of the Bristol Vegan Fayre was the inspiration behind many of the vegan events in the UK since then, including our own further events in Brighton, Glasgow and London organised by our team.

VegfestUK has put on around 40 vegan festivals across the UK over the last 2 decades, bringing under one roof a cornucopia of utterly delectable vegan food, drinks, clothing, footwear, cosmetics, skincare, jewellery, magazines, on top of an illustrious list of special guests, headliners and comedians, alongside some truly unforgettable talks, cookery demos, kids activities, live performances and yoga classes, and not to mention lots and lots of big smiles and potentially life-changing festivals encouraging everyone to follow a vegan way of life.

With the advent of the pandemic in March 2020 and the closure of indoor events, we had to operate online for 2020, 2021 & some of 2022. Global Vegfest – a new online event series of ours – has gone live a few times during this period and is free to attend, featuring panels, demos, performances & talks around veganism from activists all over the world. During this period we also launched our two free online vegan magazines  –  Plant Powered Planet and Forca Vegan.

In 2022, we were finally able to relaunch VegfestUK London 2022, which took place on 12th & 13th November. It was wonderful for us to be able to return to live events, and we’re already well into planning VegfestUK London 2023. Check out the event website here: london.vegfest.co.uk We also host the VegfestUK Awards every year, which celebrate the best vegan products in the UK. We were also able to return to announcing the winners live at VegfestUK London 2022 – which was tradition before the pandemic in 2020.
