Join artist, author, musician and lifelong animal advocate Geoff Francis for a fascinating journey through 55 years of veganism and campaigning.

In this uplifting and insightful interview Geoff will share what inspired him to become vegan more than five decades ago – at a time when vegan food was not as abundance as now and the movement was still largely unknown. Before social media and the internet!

Geoff will look back at what life was like for vegans during the 1970s and 1980s, how attitudes have changed and what today’s movement can learn from those pioneering years.
Geoff’s remarkable career and life includes working in the worlds of music, art, writing, film and animal advocacy. He founded All Change Records, an influential chain of independent record shops in London’s West End – one even had its own veggie café inside.

Geoff also worked alongside well known animal advocates including Linda McCartney, Carla Lane and actress Rita Tushingham.

He will also talk about the story behind the brilliant Wot! No Meat?, the animal-friendly track he wrote which was performed by Captain Sensible and Rachel Bor – released in 1985.
