Grace Joy Howarth is an associate artist with Patch Plays – the UK’s first vegan theatre company. Alongside founder Anastasia Bunce, and associate artist Bibi Lucille, Patch Plays have produced three vegan theatre shows. With Patch Plays, Grace has written and co-produced ‘Blood on Your Hands’, a gritty drama about slaughterhouse workers, and ‘Birdie’s Adventures in the Animal Kingdom’, a kids musical about veganism and the environment. These shows have been performed at esteemed venues like Southwark Playhouse and The Cockpit Theatre, have been taken to the Edinburgh Fringe, and even performed in the UK’s only zero-waste theatre, The Greenhouse. Both ‘Blood on Your Hands’ and Bibi Lucille’s one-woman vegan comedy ‘Meat Cute’ have been adapted as short films, and are due to premiere in October.
