Jessamy Korotoga

Head of Science Animal Aid

I’m Head of Science at Animal Aid where I’ve worked for 11 years, mostly campaigning against animal experiments. My work involves ‘translating’ scientific research into easily understandable language so it is clear how animals suffer in experiments which are both cruel and unreliable. This information is then used in a variety of ways. Prior to joining Animal Aid, I worked at another animal protection group conducting research to campaign against animal experiments.

Bringing an End to Animal Testing

This panel will provide an overview of the current situation regarding animal experiments in Great Britain and globally. Looking to a future without animal experiments, the panel will discuss the different areas where animals are experimented upon and look at the ‘alternatives‘ (non-animal new approach methodologies – NAMs), the possible barriers to NAMs use and a future without animal experiments.

The four panellists all have many years of experience and knowledge of this important area of animal harm and exploitation and will each bring a unique perspective on this topic. Please join us as we discuss how we can truly ‘bring an end to animal testing’ with your support.

Following the panel, at 1.45 there will be a short update from Camp Beagle, with Sole Iriart.

Takeaways

”To look at the issue of animal experiments, from multiple viewpoints, to expedite an end to ALL animal experiments”
