Lean Plant-Based supports women in their 40s, 50s and beyond to feel stronger, healthier and more confident through simple, sustainable lifestyle changes. Founded by plant-based health educator Susy Kern, the business combines plant-based nutrition, mindset support and accessible home-based strength training to help women improve their health without overwhelm.

Through online programmes, meal plans and community coaching, Lean Plant-Based helps women understand their bodies, rebuild strength and create habits that fit real life. The focus is on progress, not perfection — and on being supported by others who truly understand the midlife experience.

The Health Plan You Can Afford

A plant-based approach to strength, energy and health in midlife.

Midlife has a reputation problem. We’re told our metabolism slows, our energy dips, and that getting healthy only gets harder from here. But the most powerful shift a woman in her 40s, 50s and beyond can make to how she moves, feels, and recovers doesn’t cost a thing — it starts on her plate.

In this talk, Susy Kern, founder of Lean Plant Based, shares how a whole-food, plant-based approach helped her lose weight sustainably, ease long-standing gut issues, and move through menopause with minimal symptoms — no HRT required. Drawing on the science behind plant-based nutrition (Dr T. Colin Campbell, Dr Caldwell Esselstyn, Dr Michael Greger) and real-world proof that plant-based doesn’t mean underfuelled, Susy will break down exactly why midlife is the ideal time to start — not despite your age, but because of it.

Expect practical, no-overwhelm takeaways: the protein mistake most women over 40 are making (and why it matters more than ever for maintaining strength and muscle), the two non-negotiable nutrients you can’t skip, and a simple daily framework to build lasting habits without overhauling your life overnight.

This isn’t another diet talk. It’s the health plan that costs nothing but attention — and it’s never too late to start.
