Pigs in the Wood is a non-profit sanctuary for pigs that have been rescued from various situations. Based in the village of Scissett, Huddersfield the pigs roam free and live naturally in 10 acres of woodland.
The wood is currently home to 20 pigs, cared for by a team of volunteers. We also run a national rehoming service, matching pigs in need with suitable forever homes, providing welfare advise and transport to new homes where possible.
We receive no funding so please consider supporting us by donating or buying one of our gifts including pig adoptions. During normal times we welcome visitors to the woods, and our adoptions include unlimited visits to your chosen pig.
