Sarah Taubman

Veganic Gardener

Sarah is a long-time vegan and an avid veganic gardener. She has been gardening since 2009, and has navigated the joys and challenges of veganic gardening in two very different climates: for many years in the hot dry sunny weather of Los Angeles, and more recently the cooler damper weather of the UK, her native country. Sarah volunteers for the Vegan Organic Network and the Veganic Summit.

The Vegan Organic Network charity is the only organisation in the UK solely working for food to be grown the veganic way. Animal agriculture is one of the leading drivers of species extinction, ocean dead zones, river pollution and soil degradation. For over 25 years VON has been supporting farmers, growers and gardeners on how to grow food in an organic way without using any animal inputs (hence stock-free) and instead using plant-based fertilisers and kinder methods which respect animals, support wildlife and nourish more people per hectare.

The Veganic Summit is a free online summit which brings together the leading experts in veganic farming and gardening for a 3 day event. Attendees can learn how to grow food using sustainable plant-based methods, free from chemicals and animal-based fertilizers, hear from Stock-free growers with years of experience growing vegan organic food and connect with people from all over the world who want to support the switch to sustainable vegan organic growing.
