Vegfest Free – A Unique Event for Unique Times
Vegfest Free takes place at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Saturday April 25th 2026 from 10am – 7pm, with up to 140 stalls spread over 2 indoor halls and an outdoor plaza, complete with stage and live musical lineup and a series of talks and presentations from more than 40 speakers. All the stalls are vegan, with a fine array of vegan street food, artisan plant-based food producers, new vegan product launches, vegan body care & make up, clothing & accessories as well as information & inspiration from a host of ethical organisations, charities and community interest companies. Vegfest Free, organised by vegan events pioneers VegfestUK, will become the biggest inner city vegan festival of the decade.

Free to the public – and a welcome to people new to plant-based lifestyles
Vegfest Free is free to the public, with a capacity of 3,000 visitors, ensuring a unique mix of core vegan community alongside people completely new to plant-based lifestyles. Vegfest Free is an inclusive family event suitable for people of all ages, and welcomes people new to the benefits of plant-based lifestyles, creating a magical environment to sample the very best of the vegan way of life.

Free for small charities, community interest companies, sanctuaries & selected sole traders
Independent sole traders, small charities, volunteer led groups, animal sanctuaries, family firms, campaigners and community interest companies make up the backbone of the grassroots UK vegan movement and currently face unprecedented challenges in the quest to continue with their exemplary achievements. Vegfest Free sees free stalls and free marketing for up to 64 independents in a unique show of solidarity during unique times for a genuinely compassionate & considerate collective.

Tickets

Tickets are required for entry to Vegfest Free and will be available from February 14th 2026 from the website. Everyone attending Vegfest Free must have a ticket in advance, including children. (Babies and toddlers under 2 years old do not require a ticket). Registration for tickets is free – there is no charge to visit Vegfest Free.

This act of solidarity for the independents, alongside free entry to the public, is made possible by the support and generosity from the eclectic combination of ethical businesses, inspirational individuals, collective responsibility and people power. A crowdfunder has been launched which runs throughout the run up to the event, to allow people from across the UK to support this bold initiative and help provide a thriving environment for a myriad of different ethical individuals and organisations.

Inner city, multicultural free festival open to everyone
Uniting communities with shared values, coming together to celebrate great food, uplifting music, a family friendly festival vibe and a unifying crowd, Vegfest Free extends solidarity beyond the vegan community to invite a genuinely multicultural urban audience to come and celebrate as one, whilst extending a message of solidarity with all animals at the same time. Veganism is steeped in inclusivity and compassion, making a unique response to today’s challenging times.

Veganism ticks so many boxes when it comes to a compassionate, ethical and eco conscious way of life, and is on the rise in the UK as more people respond to the benefits of plant-based lifestyles and veganism. Vegfest Free draws together a core sector of the UK vegan community in solidarity with people, planet, the animals, and each other, extending a warm welcome to thousands of people new to veganism and plant-based lifestyles. Vegfest – organising vegan events for 23 years
VegfestUK has been at the heart of the Uk vegan events collective for close on a quarter of a century, hosting the UK’s biggest vegan events across the UK. Now Vegfest steps up to produce Vegfest Free at a crucial time in the history of the vegan movement.
