Dr Ishani Rao is an NHS GP and emergency medic, taking a masters in Global Health Policy. Her area of interest is environmental conservation due to forced migration, physical health issues, mental health stressors and natural biodiversity lost as a consequence of climate change. She regularly hosts workshops about sustainability in healthcare and is proud to represent the organisations Buckets of Love, Eco Medics and Plant Based Health Professionals. When she cannot be found on land, Ishani is usually in the sea or working on ocean conservation projects.

Choosing Compassion: Surviving Burnout in Vegan Activism

Dr Ishani is excited to share her new book with you! This book is a handbook for vegan activists who may be struggling with burnout or mental health issues, as a vegan in a non-vegan world. Alongaide her work as an emergency GP, Ishani hosts sessions for activists from Protect The Wild, Animal Rising, Speciesism, AV and more. She hopes to allow you to remain healthy and happy on your vegan journey.

This will include highlighting opportunities within easy reach by sharing inspiring examples of vegan advocacy reshaping clinical practice, improving patient outcomes and aligning with holistic health goals.
